Pārvatī’s Discourse: Establishing Śiva as Parabrahman
tvayoktaṃ viditaṃ deva tadalīkaṃ na cānyathā | yadi tvayoditaṃ syādvai viruddhaṃ nocyate tvayā
Pārvatī
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Type: stotra
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: teaching
It establishes Śiva as the flawless source of truth (Pati), whose words are free from error and contradiction—encouraging the devotee to place steady faith (śraddhā) in His guidance as a means toward liberation.
Linga-worship centers on trusting Śiva’s revealed path—ritual, mantra, and devotion—because His instruction is reliable. The verse supports Saguna upāsanā by affirming that the Lord who is worshiped and who teaches is never deceptive.
A practical takeaway is to practice mantra-japa with unwavering faith—especially the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—holding Śiva’s teaching as authoritative and internally consistent during daily worship.
