yatte pṛṣṭaṃ dvijaśreṣṭha matsakhyā manasīpsitam | mayā khyātaṃ ca tatprītyā kimanyacchrotumicchasi
Parvati
Tattva Level: pashu
Shiva Form: Umāpati
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: teaching
It highlights śravaṇa (reverent listening) and compassionate instruction: sacred knowledge is shared lovingly to fulfill sincere inner longing, which in Shaiva Siddhanta supports the soul’s movement toward Shiva’s grace.
The verse frames devotion as a living dialogue—questions and answers that deepen faith in Saguna Shiva and lead the devotee toward steadier worship, including Linga-upāsanā, through clarified understanding.
The implied practice is devotional śravaṇa and manana (listening and reflecting) on Shiva-kathā—often paired with japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) as a focused contemplative response.
