तृतीयनेत्राग्निनिवृत्तिः / Quelling the Fire of the Third Eye
Vāḍava Fire Placed in the Ocean
वाडवं रूपमाधत्त तमादायाग तोत्र ह । निर्दिशामि जलाधार त्वामहं करुणाकरः
vāḍavaṃ rūpamādhatta tamādāyāga totra ha | nirdiśāmi jalādhāra tvāmahaṃ karuṇākaraḥ
ヴァーダヴァ(Vāḍava)――海底の火――の姿を取り、それを携えて直ちにここへ来なさい。水を支える者よ、慈悲の大海たる我は、ここに汝をその位に任じ、定める。
Lord Śiva
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
It shows Śiva as Pati—the compassionate Lord who governs the cosmos by assigning functions to powers of nature, reminding devotees that divine grace and order operate together.
The verse presents Saguna Śiva as the commanding, merciful ruler of tattvas (cosmic principles). Linga worship contemplates this same Lord as the stable axis of creation who directs and sustains all elements.
Meditate on Śiva as Karuṇākara (the compassionate source) while chanting the Pañcākṣarī—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—to align one’s inner elements with His ordained order.
