नारद उवाच । विधे प्राज्ञ वदेदानीं मेनोत्पत्तिं समादरात् । अपि शापं समाचक्ष्व कुरु संदेहभंजनम्
nārada uvāca | vidhe prājña vadedānīṃ menotpattiṃ samādarāt | api śāpaṃ samācakṣva kuru saṃdehabhaṃjanam
ナーラダは言った。「賢きヴィダートリ（梵天）よ、いま敬意をもってメナーの起源の物語を私に語ってください。さらにその呪詛の件も説き明かし、私の疑いを打ち砕いてください。」
