It highlights bhakti expressed through simple upacāras—placing pure offerings before Śambhu and approaching Him with reverence. In a Śaiva Siddhānta sense, such devotion purifies the paśu (bound soul) and turns attention toward Pati (Śiva), loosening the bonds (pāśa) of ego and possessiveness.
The act of placing fruits and flowers ‘in front’ reflects standard Saguna Śiva worship—offerings made to Śiva as present and accessible in form (often as the Liṅga). It underscores that sincere, orderly pūjā is an authentic way to relate to Śiva’s grace-bestowing presence.
A basic Śiva-pūjā sequence is implied: arrange offerings (flowers, fruits) before Śiva, then stand/sit with humility and prayerful intent. Practically, one may pair this with quiet japa of the Pañcākṣarī mantra—“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—while making the offerings.
