काली-परिचयः / Himagiri Presents Kālī (Pārvatī) to Śiva
ब्रह्मोवाच । महेशवचनं श्रुत्वा शिवातातस्तथाविधम् । अचलः प्रत्युवाचेदं गिरिशं नतकमधरः
brahmovāca | maheśavacanaṃ śrutvā śivātātastathāvidham | acalaḥ pratyuvācedaṃ giriśaṃ natakamadharaḥ
ブラフマーは言った。マヘーシャがそのように語られた御言葉を聞いて、シヴァの父アチャラ(ヒマーラヤ)は頭を垂れて礼し、ギリーシャ(山の主なるシヴァ)に次のように答えた。
Brahma
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: liberating
It highlights humility before Pati (Lord Shiva): even the mighty Himālaya responds with reverence, showing that devotion expressed through surrender is a doorway to Shiva’s grace.
The verse depicts a personal encounter with Saguna Shiva (Mahesha/Girisha), emphasizing respectful approach and receptivity—key attitudes also cultivated in Linga worship through upacāra, namaskāra, and attentive listening to Shiva’s teaching.
The practical takeaway is namaskāra with inner humility while hearing Shiva-kathā; one may pair it with japa of the Panchākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) to internalize reverence and steadiness of mind.
