Shiva Form: Mahādeva
Role: nurturing
The verse presents Kārtikeya’s radiance and enthronement as a sign of Shiva’s grace manifesting as divine governance—spiritual power is shown as protection of dharma and the cosmos, not mere dominion.
Kārtikeya’s lordly role is an expression of Saguna Shiva’s order in the world: through Shiva’s manifested power, the universe is safeguarded. Linga-worship honors the transcendent Pati (Shiva) from whom such protective energies arise.
A practical takeaway is to worship Shiva with the Panchākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) while contemplating protection of dharma; optionally include Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) and Rudrākṣa as Shaiva markers of disciplined, protective devotion.
