FAQs

It proclaims the salvific power of Shiva’s Nāma: remembrance and repetition purify the pashu (bound soul), burn accumulated pāpa, and cultivate the inner discipline that supports liberation-oriented life.

Shiva’s Name is treated as a direct, accessible form of Saguna worship: nāma-japa functions like Linga-upāsanā by focusing devotion and awareness on Shiva, making purity and merit arise even without elaborate ritual.

Daily nāma-japa—especially Panchākṣarī practice such as “Om Namaḥ Śivāya”—with vows of self-restraint (brahmacarya), purity of conduct, and steady remembrance.
