FAQs

It teaches that intention (kāma as focused aspiration) bears fruit; therefore the seeker should redirect desire toward Pati—Lord Shiva—so that worldly longing is purified into devotion and culminates in the highest attainment.

Since the mind attains what it clings to, the Purana advises fixing attention on Shiva in a worshippable form—especially the Linga—so devotion becomes steady and the aspirant receives Shiva’s grace and fulfillment of the highest good.

Cultivate single-pointed bhakti through daily Shiva-sevā: japa of the Panchākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya), Linga-pūjā with water/flowers, and meditative remembrance of Shiva so desire is harnessed as spiritual resolve.
