The verse highlights that even a supremely powerful deity like Viṣṇu attains immediate success by remembering Śiva’s lotus-feet—teaching that Śiva-bhakti (smaraṇa and śaraṇāgati) is a direct channel for grace and the removal of obstacles.
Remembering Śiva’s “lotus-feet” points to Saguna Śiva as the approachable Lord who bestows protection; in practice, devotees mirror this by worshiping the Śiva-liṅga with focused remembrance, treating the Liṅga as the living locus of Śiva’s presence and grace.
It suggests smaraṇa (devotional recollection) and śaraṇāgati: mentally bowing to Śiva’s feet before action; a practical takeaway is japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with brief dhyāna on Śiva’s feet as a protective and centering practice.
