The verse proclaims Gaṇeśa’s unsurpassed excellence in the three worlds, teaching that divine greatness (tejas and guṇas) is not merely worldly power but the manifest grace of Śiva’s order—worthy of reverence and surrender.
In Saguna Śiva worship, one honors Śiva’s manifest cosmic administration—His gaṇas and their Lord—before approaching the Liṅga; praising Gaṇeśa aligns the devotee with Śiva’s auspicious will and removes impediments to pūjā and japa.
A practical takeaway is to begin Śiva-pūjā with Gaṇapati-vandana and focused remembrance of his tejas and guṇas, followed by steady japa of the Pañcākṣarī (Om Namaḥ Śivāya) to proceed without obstacles.
