गणेश-वाक्यं तथा गणानां समर-सन्नाहः | Gaṇeśa’s Challenge and the Mustering of the Gaṇas
देवायुधं न दृश्येत परिघः परितः पुनः । एवं ताभ्यां कृतं तत्र चरितं परमाद्भुतम्
devāyudhaṃ na dṛśyeta parighaḥ paritaḥ punaḥ | evaṃ tābhyāṃ kṛtaṃ tatra caritaṃ paramādbhutam
そこにはいかなる神の武器も見えず、ただ鉄の棍棒(パリガ)が四方に幾度も幾度も旋回していた。かくして、その場で二者が成した業は、至上にして驚異そのものであった。

Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Vīrabhadra
It highlights that wondrous divine outcomes arise when beings act under the current of Shiva’s śakti—ordinary perception fails to grasp the means, while the result manifests as awe, pointing devotees toward faith (śraddhā) and surrender to Pati (Shiva) beyond mere external power.
The verse underscores Saguna Shiva’s manifest power in līlā: just as divine force becomes visible through specific forms and acts, the Linga serves as the accessible, worshipful form through which devotees approach the transcendent (Nirguna) Shiva and receive protection and victory over obstacles.
A practical takeaway is japa of the Panchākṣarī mantra (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) with bhakti, coupled with Tripuṇḍra (bhasma) remembrance of impermanence and Shiva’s guardianship—meditating that Shiva’s grace works even when the ‘means’ are unseen.
