The verse highlights how receptive listening to divine, dharmic counsel—especially from the Mother (Śakti)—uplifts the devotee with inner joy, strength, and spiritual elevation, aligning the mind toward auspicious Shaiva life.
Though the Liṅga is not named here, the narrative reflects Saguna devotion within Shiva’s household: blessings and transformation arise through grace-filled words and alignment with the will of Śiva-Śakti, which is the heart of Purāṇic worship.
A practical takeaway is śravaṇa (devotional listening) and smaraṇa (remembrance) of Śiva-Śakti and their Gaṇas; reciting the Pañcākṣarī “Om Namaḥ Śivāya” with a calm, receptive mind supports the same upliftment described.
