Suta Goswami (narrating the Shiva Purana account to the sages, inferred from Purana dialogue convention in Rudrasaṃhitā narration)
Tattva Level: pati
Shiva Form: Sadāśiva
Shakti Form: Pārvatī
Role: nurturing
It highlights Sadāśiva as the sovereign Lord (Pati) who maintains dharmic order even among His closest attendants; correction (śikṣā) is shown as a compassionate act that refines devotion into disciplined service.
The verse depicts Saguna Śiva’s lived līlā—His personal governance and etiquette in the divine abode—helping devotees approach Linga-worship with reverence, purity, and proper conduct rather than casual familiarity.
A practical takeaway is maryādā and śauca: maintain purity and respectful boundaries during worship, and pair it with steady japa of the Pañcākṣarī (“Om Namaḥ Śivāya”) to cultivate humility and obedience like an ideal Śaiva attendant.
