主神アグニ:多様な火の姿として招き、歌い手の讃歌(stotra)を受け取り増大させ、正しく織り成された讃歌と梵力を祭儀の有効な働きとして完成させ、祭主の目的を成就し、安住(sukṣiti)と食糧・富(vāja-draviṇa)を授ける。ついでヴァルナに、現世での憐れみと守護、罪や束縛の解放を乞い、儀礼が障りなく進むよう願う。さらに「諸々の火(viśve agnayaḥ)」として、神々と生類に遍在する火の多様性を含意する。
