Sukta 8.23

Devata: Agni (as Angiras-tama, Hotṛ)

अच्छा नो अङ्गिरस्तमं यज्ञासो यन्तु संयतः । होता यो अस्ति विक्ष्वा यशस्तमः ॥

ácchā no aṅgíras-tamaṃ yajñā́sō yantu saṃ-yátāḥ | hótā yó ásti vikṣv ā́ yaśás-tamaḥ ||

よく整え集められた我らの祭儀(yajña)よ、最もアṅギラス(Aṅgiras)的なる者へ、すなわち祭司の火へと向かえ。彼は諸氏族のうちのHotṛ(祭詞誦者)であり、最も栄光ある者。願わくは我らの多くの生の場に来たりて、それらを正しく整えよ。
