पुनीषे वामरक्षसं मनीषां सोममिन्द्राय वरुणाय जुह्वत् । घृतप्रतीकामुषसं न देवीं ता नो यामन्नुरुष्यतामभीके ॥

punī́ṣe vāṃ arakṣásaṃ manīṣā́ṃ sómam índrāya váruṇāya júhvat | ghṛtá-pratīkām uṣásaṃ ná devī́ṃ tā́ no yā́mann uruṣyatām abhī́ke ||

われは汝ら二柱のため、敵対の力なき思念を清め、祭杓もてソーマ(Soma)をインドラ(Indra)とヴァルナ(Varuṇa)に献ず。酥油の光を面に帯ぶる女神ウシャス(Uṣas、暁)のごとく、道行きにおいて、近く寄りて我らを守りたまえ。
