तमूर्मिमापो मधुमत्तमं वोऽपां नपादवत्वाशुहेमा । यस्मिन्निन्द्रो वसुभिर्मादयाते तमश्याम देवयन्तो वो अद्य ॥
Transliteration
tám ū́rmim ā́po mádhumattamaṃ vo’pā́ṃ napād avatu āśuhemā́ | yásmin índro vásubhir mā́dayāte tám aśyāma deváyanto vo adyá ||
Translation
水なるものよ、アパーム・ナパート（Apāṃ Napāt）――黄金の動きに迅き者――汝らのために、最も甘美で蜜に満ちたその波を守護せよ。その波においてインドラはヴァス（Vasus）らとともに歓喜し酔う。神を求めるわれらは、今日汝らによってそれに到達せん。
