ईयुर्गावो न यवसादगोपा यथाकृतमभि मित्रं चितासः । पृश्निगावः पृश्निनिप्रेषितासः श्रुष्टिं चक्रुर्नियुतो रन्तयश्च ॥

īyúr gā́vo ná yávasād ágopā yáthākṛtam abhí mítraṃ citā́saḥ | pṛ́śnigāvaḥ pṛ́śninipreṣitāsaḥ śruṣṭíṃ cakrur niyúto rántayaś ca ||

かれらは牧場を離れる牛のように進み、守り手もなく、なすがままに、光明の心をもつミトラ(Mitra)にさえ迫った。斑の牛の群れ――混じり合う衝動の斑――は斑なる力に駆られて襲撃を作り、轭で結ばれたランタヤ(Rantaya)らもまた喧噪に加わった。
