उप श्वासय पृथिवीमुत द्यां पुरुत्रा ते मनुतां विष्ठितं जगत् । स दुन्दुभे सजूरिन्द्रेण देवैर्दूराद्दवीयो अप सेध शत्रून् ॥

úpa śvāsaya pṛthivī́m utá dyā́m purutrā́ te manutā́ṃ víṣṭhitaṃ jágat | sá dundubhe sajū́r índreṇa deváir dūrā́d davī́yo ápa sedha śátrūn ||

大地にも天にも息を吹きかけよ。多くの地にひろがる人の世の世界が、汝によって勇気を得て立ち上がるように。太鼓よ、インドラと諸神とに結ばれて、敵を追い払え――遠くへ、さらに遠くへ――敵対する力をわれらの場から退けよ。
