त्वामिद्धि हवामहे साता वाजस्य कारवः । त्वां वृत्रेष्विन्द्र सत्पतिं नरस्त्वां काष्ठास्वर्वतः ॥
Transliteration
tvā́m id dhí havāmahe sātā́ vā́jasya kā́ravaḥ | tvā́ṃ vṛtréṣv indra sátpatiṃ náras tvā́ṃ kā́ṣṭhāsv árvataḥ ||
Translation
力の充溢を勝ち取るために、歌い手たちはまことに汝を呼ぶ。覆いと抗いのただなかで、インドラよ、人々は汝を真実の主と呼ぶ；旅の定まった目標においても、動き進む前進においても、汝を呼ぶ。
