नि दुरोणे अमृतो मर्त्यानां राजा ससाद विदथानि साधन् । घृतप्रतीक उर्विया व्यद्यौदग्निर्विश्वानि काव्यानि विद्वान् ॥

ní duroṇé amṛ́to martyā́nāṃ rājā sasāda vidáthāni sā́dhan | ghṛtá-pratīka urviyā́ vy àdyaud agnír viśvā́ni kā́vyāni vidvā́n ||

家の座に彼は坐した――死すべき者たちの中の不死者、王として集会(vidatha)の諸わざを成就しつつ。澄まし酥(ghṛta)の光を面として、広々と輝きわたる。アグニ(Agni)は、あらゆる詩聖の霊感智(kāvya)を知る者。
