शृण्वन्तु स्तोमं मरुतः सुदानवोऽग्निजिह्वा ऋतावृधः । पिबतु सोमं वरुणो धृतव्रतोऽश्विभ्यामुषसा सजूः ॥

śṛṇvántu stómaṃ marútaḥ sudā́navo’gnijihvā́ ṛtāvṛ́dhaḥ | píbatú sómaṃ váruṇo dhṛtávrato’śvíbhyām uṣásā sajū́ḥ ||

マルット(Maruts)――善き施与者、炎を舌とし、ṛta(宇宙の真理・秩序)を増し広げる者たち――この讃歌を聞け。堅く誓法を保つヴァルナ(Varuṇa)はソーマ(Soma)を飲め。アシュヴィン(Aśvins)とウシャス(Uṣas、曙光)とともに、一つの調和のうちに。
