Sukta 1.26

Rishi: वसिष्ठ (Vasiṣṭha) (traditional attribution for RV 1.26)

आ हि ष्मा सूनवे पितापिर्यजत्यापये । सखा सख्ये वरेण्यः ॥

ā́ hí ṣmā sūnáve pitā́ ā́piḥ yájatī ā́paye | sakhā́ sákhye váreṇyaḥ ||

まことに、彼は来たれ——父が子に赴くように、供犠する者に寄り添う親密な助け手が来るように。選ばれし友(sakhā)は、友誼(sakhya)の行いのうちにわれらに来たりて、人と神との結び目を堅くせよ。
