Sukta 1.25

Rishi: Vasiṣṭha Maitrāvaruṇi (traditional assignment for RV 1.25)
Devata: Varuṇa (Āditya; guardian of ṛta)
Chandas: Triṣṭubh (11-syllable pādas; standard for many Varuṇa hymns)

वि मृळीकाय ते मनो रथीरश्वं न संदितम् । गीर्भिर्वरुण सीमहि ॥

ví mṛ́ḷīkāya te máno rathī́r áśvaṃ ná sáṃditam | gīrbhír varuṇa sīmahi ||

汝の慈恵のために、ヴァルナよ、われらは讃歌の言葉をもって心を繋ぎととのえる——御者が馬をよく轡して結ぶように——それが汝の真理(ṛta)の正しい秩序に従って進むために。
