「ラーマに喜ばれることを成さんと、我らは命すら捨てる覚悟だ。だが、戦う理由そのもの――ジャナカの娘は、すでに討たれた。」
"To please Rama, we are giving up life. Let us make Rama know that the daughter of Janaka for whose sake we are fighting this war and giving up life has been killed."
It stresses truth (satya) and right purpose: sacrifice is meaningful only when aligned with the true objective; if the purpose is lost, blind fighting becomes adharma.
Hanumān reframes the battle’s purpose, stating that if Sītā is dead, the rationale for continued sacrifice and fighting collapses.
Purpose-driven devotion—loyalty to Rāma guided by clarity of ends, not mere rage or momentum.
