कुम्भकर्णवधः
The Slaying of Kumbhakarna
तस्मान्मुहूर्तंकाङ्क्षिष्येविक्रमंपार्थिवस्यतु ।भिन्नं च वानरानीकंतावदाश्वासयाम्यहम् ।।।।
tasmān muhūrtaṃ kāṅkṣiṣye vikramaṃ pārthivasya tu | bhinnaṃ ca vānarānīkaṃ tāvad āśvāsayāmi aham ||
ゆえに、王の武勇を見届けるためしばし待とう。その間に、散り乱れたヴァーナラの軍勢を励まし、立て直すのだ。
"Therefore, I will see the exhibition of his prowess for a while. Thereafter I shall reinforce the scattered army of Vanaras."
Dharma is balanced action: honoring a leader’s chance to act while also fulfilling one’s duty to protect and stabilize the community.
Hanumān chooses a two-step response—briefly wait for Sugrīva’s recovery and simultaneously rally the dispersed troops.
Strategic patience and service-oriented leadership—Hanumān prioritizes morale and order without undermining Sugrīva.
