迫り来る山の峰を見て、彼は拳でそれを打ち据えた。拳打に砕かれた峰は四散し、火花を散らし炎を上げて、大地へと落ちた。
(Kumbhakarna) observing the mountain peak coming towards him pierced it with his fist. Struck by the fist, the peak broke and sparks of fire came out shining brightly and fell on the ground.
The verse underscores that raw force can neutralize force, but Dharma ultimately requires force to be guided by rightful purpose; power alone is not moral authority.
Kumbhakarṇa meets Nīla’s thrown mountain-peak head-on and destroys it with a single punch, displaying overwhelming strength.
The highlighted trait is vīrya (martial might), though framed as a narrative fact rather than a moral ideal.
