日が尽き夜が始まる頃、猛き鰐や掴みかかる怪しき生き物にて恐ろしき海は、泡の群れで笑うがごとく、うねる波で舞うがごとく見えた。
As the day was ending and night was setting in, the ocean filled with crocodiles which could catch any animal looked terrific and its waves seemed as if it were laughing and dancing.
Dharma is tested by daunting obstacles. The verse teaches that the righteous path may appear terrifying, yet it must be faced with steadiness rather than fear.
As evening falls, the army observes the ocean’s dangerous life and turbulent surface, heightening the sense of challenge in crossing.
Fortitude—maintaining purpose even when nature itself looks threatening and overwhelming.
