Malyavan’s Counsel, Portents in Laṅkā, and the Proposal of Alliance
देवदानवयक्षेभ्योगृहीतश्चवरस्त्वया ।।6.35.23।।मनुषावानराऋक्षागोलाङ्गूलामहाबलाः ।बलवन्तइहागम्यगर्जन्तीदृढविक्रमाः ।।6.35.24।।
devadānavayakṣebhyo gṛhītaś ca varas tvayā |
manuṣā vānarā ṛkṣā golāṅgūlā mahābalāḥ |
balavanta ihāgamya garjantī dṛḍhavikramāḥ ||
汝はデーヴァ、ダーナヴァ、ヤクシャより無難の恩寵を得たという。されど今ここに、強き人々、ヴァーナラ、熊、そして黒き面の猿たちが—大いなる力を備え—不屈の勇をもって咆哮しつつ来たる。
"You have secured boons of immunity against death at the hand s of strong and mighty and powerful valour, like gods, Danavas, Yakshas and human beings. The Vanaras, Bears and monkeys with dark faces are coming here now thundering."
Dharma includes sober discernment: relying on exceptional powers (boons) without humility and justice invites downfall.
The counsellor underscores that the arriving forces fall outside the categories from which Rāvaṇa sought immunity.
