そのときサラマーは友のシーターを見た。気を失い、乱れ果て、転げ回ったのちに起き上がった彼女は、汚れた地の上の雌馬のように塵にまみれていた。
"Virtuous Sita! Hugged by your broad- chested Rama, you will shed tears of joy on his bosom."
The verse foregrounds compassion as a dharmic response to another’s suffering—recognizing distress truthfully (satya) is the first step toward rightful care.
In Laṅkā, Saramā comes upon Sītā after an intense emotional collapse, finding her unconscious and dust-covered from rolling on the ground.
Empathy and attentive concern: Saramā’s noticing of Sītā’s condition prepares the compassionate consolation that follows.
