Saardula’s Spy-Report on Rama’s Camp and the Vanara Host
अथर्क्षरजसःपुत्रोयुधिराजासुदुर्जयः ।गद्गदस्याथपुत्त्रोऽत्रजाम्बवानितिविश्रुतः ।।6.30.20।।
atharkṣarajasaḥ putro yudhi rājā sudurjayaḥ | gadgadasyātha puttro 'tra jāmbavān iti viśrutaḥ || 6.30.20 ||
続いて彼は言った。「ṛkṣarājaの子である王は、戦においてきわめて征し難い。さらにここには、ガドガダの子で、『ジャンバヴァーン』の名で名高い者もいる。」
"Certainly, king Sugriva, the son of Rksharaja's, is difficult to be conquered in battle. Here is the son of Gadgada, famously called as Jambavan."
Truthful assessment (satya) of strength in war: dharma in counsel includes stating facts plainly, even when they are unfavorable.
