सागरप्रशमनम् / The Pacification of the Ocean and the Building of Nala’s Bridge

जयस्वशत्रून्नरदे व:मेदिनींससागरांपालयशाश्वतीस्समाः ।इतीवरामंनरदेवसत्कृ तंशुभैर्वचोभिर्विविधैरपूजयन् ।।।।

jayasva śatrūn naradeva medinīṃ sa-sāgarāṃ pālaya śāśvatīḥ samāḥ |

itīva rāmaṃ naradeva-satkṛtaṃ śubhair vacobhir vividhair apūjayan ||

「敵を打ち破れ、人中の王よ。海を抱くこの大地を、永き歳月にわたり守護せよ!」——このように、さまざまな吉祥の讃辞をもって、人々に王として崇敬されるラーマを彼らは敬い讃えた。

"O Rama the Lord of human beings! Let you win over enemies and rule the land for ever."
