Ravana’s Funeral Rites and the Ethics of Post-War Conduct
प्रवादस्सत्यएवायंत्वांप्रतिप्रायशोनृप ।।।।प्रतिव्रतानांनाकस्मात्सपत्नत्यश्रूणिभूतले ।
pravādaḥ satya evāyaṃ tvāṃ prati prāyaśo nṛpa |
prativratānāṃ nākasmat patanty aśrūṇi bhūtale |
王よ、世の言い伝えはそなたにおいて真となった。貞節を守る女たちの涙は、決してむなしく地に落ちない。この災いはその報いとしてそなたに返ったのだ。
