विज्ञापनम् / Dadhimukha Reports the Madhuvana Incident
न चाप्यदृष्ट्वा वैदेहीं विश्रुताः पुरुषर्षभ।।।।वनं दत्तवरं दिव्यं धर्षयेयुर्वनौकसः।
na cāpy adṛṣṭvā vaidehīṃ viśrutāḥ puruṣarṣabha | vanaṃ dattavaraṃ divyaṃ dharṣayeyur vanaukasaḥ ||
人の中の最勝者よ、名高き森の住人たちは、ヴァイデーヒーを見ずして、恩寵として授けられたこの神妙なる林苑を侵すことはない。
"If the renowned vanaras had not seen Vaidehi, they would not have entered the wonderful garden granted as boon (by Brahma).
Dharma weighs reputation and prior restraint: people known for discipline do not transgress sacred or protected property without a compelling righteous cause.
Dadhimukha insists that the famed vānaras’ trespass must mean they have already achieved the crucial goal—sighting Sītā.
Respect for satya through character-evidence: Dadhimukha relies on the vānaras’ established renown to support the truth of the discovery.
