अभिज्ञानमणि
प्रदानम् — The Signet Jewel as Proof and the Consolation of Sita
स भूयस्त्वं समुत्साहे चोदितो हरिसत्तम।अस्मिन्कार्यसमारम्भे प्रचिन्तय यदुत्तरम्।।।।
sa bhūyas tvaṁ samutsāhe codito harisattama | asmin kāryasamārambhe pracintaya yad uttaram ||
猿の中の最勝よ、再び奮い立たされたなら、この事業の端緒において、次に何をなすべきかを慎重に思案せよ。
"Great Hanuman! you are enthused now. You may think over the future course of action.
Dharma here is disciplined action: enthusiasm must be guided by thoughtful deliberation so that a righteous goal is pursued through prudent means.
In Aśoka-vana, Sītā addresses Hanumān, urging him to think through the next step at the beginning of the mission to rescue her.
Practical wisdom (viveka) and restraint—acting with clarity rather than being carried away by emotion or excitement.
