Friendship Vow and Inquiry into the Cause of Enmity
सोऽहं सभाज्यो बन्धूनां सुहृदां चैव राघव।यस्याग्निसाक्षिकं मित्रं लब्धं राघववंशजम्।।
so ’haṁ sabhājyo bandhūnāṁ suhṛdāṁ caiva rāghava |
yasyāgnisākṣikaṁ mitraṁ labdhaṁ rāghava-vaṁśajam ||
ラाघヴァよ、聖なる火を証人として結ばれた盟約により、ラाघヴァの家に生まれたあなたを友として得たゆえに、私は親族や好意ある者たちの中で、等しく敬われるに足る者となりました。
'My sorrow will go only with his death. My happiness and my life are also subject to his destruction.
