प्रसङ्गः / Genealogy of the Kuśika Line and the Kausikī River
एषा राम ममोत्पत्तिस्स्वस्य वंशस्य कीर्तिता।देशस्य च महाबाहो यन्मां त्वं परिपृच्छसि।।।।
eṣā rāma mamotpattiḥ svasya vaṃśasya kīrtitā |
deśasya ca mahābāho yan māṃ tvaṃ paripṛcchasi ||
ラーマよ、強き腕の御方よ。汝が問うたゆえに、わたしは自らの起こりと家系の伝承、さらにこの地の由来を語り明かした。
O son of the Kakusthas! while telling my stories, midnight has passed by. Go to sleep now. Prosperity to you. Let there be no obstacles on our way.
Truthful transmission of tradition (itihāsa) in response to sincere inquiry is presented as dharma—knowledge is shared responsibly when sought rightly.
Viśvāmitra concludes his explanatory narration, stating he has answered Rāma’s questions about his origins, lineage, and the place.
