Bālakāṇḍa 18
स राज्ञो दर्शनाकाङ्क्षी द्वाराध्यक्षानुवाच ह।।।।शीघ्रमाख्यात मां प्राप्तं कौशिकं गाधिनस्सुतम्।
sa rājño darśanākāṅkṣī dvārādhyakṣān uvāca ha | śīghram ākhyāta māṃ prāptaṃ kauśikaṃ gādhinassutam ||
王に拝謁せんと望み、彼は門番に告げた。「急いで取り次げ、我が来たりしことを――ガーディの子、カウシカである。」
While the noble-minded king was thus deliberating in the midst of his counsellors, there arrived the effulgent ascetic Viswamitra.
Dharma includes proper conduct and protocol: even a powerful sage engages the established order, while also asserting truthful identity and lineage.
Viśvāmitra reaches the palace and requests the gatekeepers to announce him for an immediate audience.
Satya and clarity—he identifies himself precisely (Kauśika, son of Gādhi), reflecting truthful self-presentation and recognized authority.
