Bringing Ṛśyaśṛṅga to Aṅga and His Marriage to Śāntā
पितुस्सनित्यसन्तुष्टो नातिचक्राम चाश्रमात्।।।।न तेन जन्मप्रभृति दृष्टपूर्वं तपस्विना।स्त्री वा पुमान्वा यच्चान्यत्सर्वं नगरराष्ट्रजम्।। ।।
pituḥ sa nityasantuṣṭo nāticakrāma cāśramāt ||
父の庇護のもと常に満ち足りており、彼は決して庵(アーシュラマ)を離れなかった。
He (Rsyasringa) was always content and never stirred out of his father's hermitage. Absorbed in penance he had never seen a woman or a man nor any of the creatures born in towns or cities right from his birth.
Contentment and disciplined boundaries: dharma is supported by regulated living and satisfaction with one’s rightful sphere of life and duty.
The text describes Ṛśyaśṛṅga’s sheltered routine—he remains within the hermitage and does not venture out.
