「親しい友よ、この心地よい寝床はあなたのために整えられた。安らげ、ラグ族の喜びよ。ここに横たわり、静かに休みなさい。」
I spoke to the virtuous Lakshmana, who was holding arrows, bow and sword in his hand and keeping awake completely for the protection of his brother.
Dharma is shown as hospitality and considerate care: offering rest and reassurance to a weary protector is a righteous act of service.
During the halt by the river, Guha arranges a resting place and urges Lakṣmaṇa to sleep without anxiety.
Guha’s generosity and respectful service (atithi-dharma), paired with sensitivity to the other’s fatigue.
