Rāma’s Lament, Vigil for Sītā, and Lakṣmaṇa’s Consolation

स लक्ष्मणस्योत्तमपुष्कलं वचोनिशम्य चैवं वनवासमादरात्।समाः समस्ता विदधे परन्तपःप्रपद्य धर्मं सुचिराय राघवः।।।।

sa lakṣmaṇasyottamapuṣkalaṃ vaco niśamya caivaṃ vanavāsam ādarāt | samāḥ samastā vidadhe parantapaḥ prapadya dharmaṃ sucirāya rāghavaḥ ||

敵を悩ますラाघァヴァ(ラーマ)は、ラクシュマナのすぐれた豊かな言葉を愛情をもって聞き、林住の法(ダルマ)に帰依して、定められた年数のすべてにわたり、久しく森の住まいを受け入れた。
