Gifts to Suyajna and the Brahmins; Trijata’s Petition and Rama’s Charity
स शाटीं त्वरितः कट्यां सम्भ्रान्तः परिवेष्ट्य ताम्।।।।आविद्ध्य दण्डं चिक्षेप सर्वप्राणेन वेगितः।
sa śāṭīṁ tvaritaḥ kaṭyāṁ sambhrāntaḥ pariveṣṭya tām || āviddhya daṇḍaṁ cikṣepa sarva-prāṇena vegitaḥ |
驚きあわてて、彼は上衣を腰に巻きつけ、狙いを定めて、全身の力を尽くして杖を投げ放った。
Bewildered Trijata swiftly tightened up his upper garment around his waist, set the direction for his staff and hurled it with all his might.
