लक्ष्मणस्य वनानुगमन-प्रतिज्ञा तथा आयुध-संग्रहः
Lakshmana’s Vow to Follow Rama and the Retrieval of Divine Weapons
तदात्मभरणे चैव मम मातुस्तथैव च।पर्याप्ता मद्विधानां च भरणाय यशस्विनी।।।।
tad ātmabharaṇe caiva mama mātuḥ tathaiva ca | paryāptā madvidhānāṃ ca bharaṇāya yaśasvinī ||
その誉れ高き御方は、自らを養うに足り、また我が母をも、さらに我がごとき者をも養い得る。
Make me your follower. There is no breach of virtue in this. I will have my purposeaccomplished. Your object also will be fulfilled.
Responsible renunciation: Lakṣmaṇa removes objections grounded in household dependency, asserting that elders’ welfare is safeguarded, enabling him to pursue service-dharma.
Lakṣmaṇa continues persuading Rāma that leaving for the forest with him will not cause neglect of maternal responsibilities.
Sevā-niṣṭhā (steadfastness in service) joined with foresight—he anticipates concerns and answers them with practical assurance.
