Vision of Lake Pampā and the Turn toward Sugrīva
स ददर्श ततः पम्पां शीतवारिनिधिं शुभाम्।।3.75.20।।तिलकाशोकपुन्नागवकुलोद्दालकाशिनीम्।
sa dadarśa tataḥ pampāṃ śītavārinidhiṃ śubhām || 3.75.20 ||
tilakāśokapunnāgavakuloddālakāśinīm |
やがて彼は、清らかな冷水をたたえる吉祥なるパンパーを見た。ティラカ、アショーカ、プンナーガ、ヴァクラ、ウッダーラの林がそれを輝かせていた。
Rama saw lake Pampa with cool waters and the groves on the bank filled with tilaka, ashoka, punnaga, bakula and uddala trees.
Reverent perception: the landscape is viewed as śubha (auspicious), encouraging a Dharmic attitude of respect toward sacred places and nature.
Rāma arrives at and sees Lake Pampā, noting its cool waters and the flourishing tree-groves on its banks.
Mindful attention and reverence (saṃvedana) in Rāma’s encounter with a sacred landscape.
