Aranyakanda 14
tato duhitarau rāma surabhir dve vyajāyata |
rohiṇīṁ nāma bhadraṁ te gandharvīṁ ca yaśasvinīm ||3.14.27||
Surabhi gave birth to Rohini and Gandharvi, the two famous daughters. May you be happy, Rama!
Dharma is upheld through faithful remembrance and transmission of origins (satya in narration). Lineage is treated as sacred knowledge that supports moral and cultural continuity.
Jaṭāyu continues a genealogical account, naming Surabhi’s daughters as part of a broader creation/lineage narration.
Reverent speech and blessing: Jaṭāyu addresses Rāma respectfully and offers benediction while teaching.
