Concept: Severe tapas generates tejas—spiritual radiance—capable of altering cosmic hierarchies; inner heat refines the self beyond ordinary capacities.

Application: Channel hardship into disciplined practice; choose one ‘difficult’ restraint (speech, diet, attention) and sustain it until it becomes luminous clarity rather than strain.

Primary Rasa: vira

Secondary Rasa: adbhuta

Type: forest

Visual Art Cues: {"scene_description":"The goddess stands amid a ring of austerity-fire, her body outlined by shimmering heat-haze; devas and asuras watch from a distance, awed and wary, unable to match the severity. As her tapas intensifies, a corona of tejas blooms around her like a sunburst, turning the forest into a sanctified furnace of light.","primary_figures":["the goddess (deva-mātṛ)","devas (observers)","asuras (observers)"],"setting":"A forest clearing transformed into a tapas-kṣetra: scorched earth near the seat, sacred fire, hovering lotuses of light, distant celestial onlookers in cloud-banks.","lighting_mood":"divine radiance","color_palette":["blazing gold","fiery orange","charcoal black","crimson","electric white"],"tanjore_prompt":"Tanjore painting style: central goddess with a large gold-leaf halo expanding into a sunburst, flames and aura rendered with embossed gold, devas and asuras in side registers with ornate crowns, forest stylized as decorative green patterns at the margins, gem-studded jewelry and prabhāvali arch, dramatic contrast between dark ground and radiant figure.","pahari_prompt":"Pahari miniature style: heat-haze effect in fine washes, goddess in intense posture with luminous aura, devas/asuras peering from behind trees and cloud bands, delicate depiction of light rays, cool shadowed forest edges framing a bright central clearing, refined facial expressions of awe.","kerala_mural_prompt":"Kerala mural style: bold outlines and rhythmic flame motifs, goddess with exaggerated radiant aura in concentric bands, devas and asuras symmetrically placed, strong red-yellow-green palette with white highlights for tejas, temple-wall compositional geometry.","pichwai_prompt":"Pichwai cloth painting style: central radiant figure surrounded by concentric lotus and flame motifs, ornate floral border, deep blue-black background to heighten the aura, small devas/asuras arranged like attendants around the perimeter, intricate gold detailing and symmetrical patterning."}

Audio Atmosphere: {"recitation_mood":"dramatic","suggested_raga":"Bhairavi","pace":"fast-dramatic","voice_tone":"authoritative","sound_elements":["conch shell","intensifying drum (mridangam)","fire-crackle","rising chant drone","sudden hush"]}

Sandhi Resolution Notes: तपंत्यथ = तपन्ती + अथ (ई + अ → य् + अ); तपस्तीव्रम् = तपः + तीव्रम् (विसर्गसन्धि: ः + त → स् + त); देवतासुरैः = देवता + असुरैः (समास/संयोग)।
