Narada (teaching the Sanatkumara brothers in the Uttara-Bhaga tirtha-mahatmya narrative)
Vrata: none
Primary Rasa: bhakti
Secondary Rasa: shanta
It states that tīrtha-snānā (sacred bathing) at Viṣṇupada combined with Vāmana-pūjā purifies one from sin and culminates in honor in Viṣṇu’s realm (Viṣṇuloka), framing pilgrimage as a direct means to inner purification and liberation-oriented merit.
Bhakti is expressed through concrete acts—reverent bathing at Viṣṇu’s tīrtha and worship of His avatāra Vāmana—showing devotion as embodied practice that transforms the heart (viśuddhātmā) and aligns the devotee with Viṣṇu’s presence.
Ritual practice is emphasized: tīrtha-snānā and pūjā as prescribed karmakāṇḍa-style observances (kalpa/ācāra), focusing on correct sacred action rather than technical Vedāṅga topics like vyākaraṇa or jyotiṣa in this specific verse.
