Description of the Pilgrimage to the Sacred Tīrthas
Kurukṣetra-yātrā-krama
शुक्रतीर्थे नरः स्नात्वा श्राद्धदः प्रोद्धरेत्पितॄन् । अष्टम्यां वा चतुर्दश्यां चैत्रे कृष्णे विशेषतः ॥ १२१ ॥
śukratīrthe naraḥ snātvā śrāddhadaḥ proddharetpitṝn | aṣṭamyāṃ vā caturdaśyāṃ caitre kṛṣṇe viśeṣataḥ || 121 ||
シュクラ・ティールタにて沐浴し、そこでシュラーダを捧げる者は祖霊(ピトリ)を引き上げ救済する。とりわけチャイトラ月の暗半(クリシュナ・パクシャ)の第八日または第十四日に行えば殊勝である。
