नादात्पिंडं करे रामो ददौ रुद्रपदे ततः । शास्त्रार्थातिक्रमाद्भीतो रामं दशरथोऽब्रवीत् ॥ ४२ ॥
nādātpiṃḍaṃ kare rāmo dadau rudrapade tataḥ | śāstrārthātikramādbhīto rāmaṃ daśaratho'bravīt || 42 ||
そしてルドラパダにて、ラーマはその手にピンダ(piṇḍa)を置いた。シャーストラの意図に背くことを恐れたダシャラタは、ラーマに語りかけた。
